Holzmanufaktur Auer said goodbye to the use of fossil fuels as early as the 1970s. Since then, the entire heat requirement has been generated by processing our own wood waste. Since then, production has also been increasingly focused on avoiding solvents and using recyclable materials. The proportion of water-based lacquers increases every year, we use certified raw materials from sustainably managed forests and since 2021 we have been producing more than 200 megawatts per year through our in-house photovoltaic system, with which we cover our own energy needs and also supply households in the region with electric energy. We regularly question our ecological footprint and actively work towards the goal of being a company with a positive contribution for its environment.
