Auer abandoned the use of fossil fuels back in the 1970s. Since then, its entire heat requirement has been generated by processing its own wood waste. Since then, production has also increasingly focused on avoiding solvents and using recyclable materials. Every year, the proportion of water-based paints increases; we use certified raw materials from sustainably managed forests (FSC/PEFC), and since 2021, we have been producing more than 200 megawatts per year through our in-house photovoltaic system, which we use to cover our own energy needs and also supply energy to households in the region. We regularly review our ecological footprint and actively work towards the goal of being a company with a positive environmental impact.
